La Jolla Cove Suites overlooks the "The Cove," (La Jolla Cove Beach) and is located adjacent to restaurant row and the village of La Jolla. La Jolla's Annual 4th of July fireworks displays are launched from La Jolla Cove, which is also where the annual rough water swim is held, with "Concerts by the Sea," performances in the adjacent Scripps Park during the summer. There is always something going on in and around the village. La Jolla is a popular backdrop of film crews, its not uncommon to see film crews and celebrities working on location.

Underwater Aquatic Park
Scuba divers can explore the underwater canyons and kelp forest of Scripps Underwater Marine Reserve, while snorkeling may be the choice for a more casual adventure in and around La Jolla Cove Beach. Not only are you just steps from beach entry access for day and night diving adventures but La Jolla Cove Suites also provides diving lockers and showers for equipment.

At "Children’s Beach," it's not uncommon to see a small herd of seals basking in the sun on the beach and nearby seal rock (located just above the tip of the breakwater). La Jolla's inviting shoreline is accentuated with numerous beaches like "Children's Beach," each with their own unique character.

Working your way up from "Children's Beach," and just beyond seal rock, is Scripps Park, Scripps Underwater Marine Reserve and La Jolla Cove, a favorite entry point among scuba diver's. Across the bay is "La Jolla Shores" with its stretch of white sandy beaches and beyond there up the hill is the UCSD (University of California, San Diego) campus.
