From La Jolla Cove it's a more interesting swim as the area from North of the Scripps Pier going South to the Devils Slides is mostly sand bottom until you reach the canyon. Explore the kelp forests just off Scripps Park with easy and convenient beach entry from La Jolla Cove Beach.
